Telehealth Cart lovingly named R2-D2
SBHC Telehealth program is available to students in Corona, Carrizozo, and Hondo.
This program provides families with an option to get an urgent care appointment for their child at school. This service is an online connection with the SBHC provider, parent, student, and school nurse.
School nurses assess the child and determine if a telehealth appointment is appropriate. The nurse contacts the parent to see if they are agreeable to a telehealth call. If so, SBHC staff are notified and an appointment is scheduled. The parent must sign consent and be present either in person at the school or by phone for the appointment to proceed.
This program in inteded to keep healthy kids at school and provide convinient medical care for those who need to be seen by a medical provider.
